The harbour just below Sunrise Point is White Sound (a two minute walk).  Sea Spray Resort and Marina is located here with boat rentals, supplies and a great restaurant and bar. You will definitely enjoy your favorite cocktail at the Cabana Bar late some evening. As you venture out onto the main road you will run into the Abaco Inn. The Abaco Inn is famous for its fine food and candlelight dinners. Dress is casual and dinner reservations are suggested.

Continue up the main road 2.5 miles and your next stop is Hopetown. Founded by the loyalists in 1785, it resembles New England with its clapboard, pastel homes and white picket fences. Reminiscent of a time gone by, you won't find any cars here, but you can leave your bikes or golf cart outside any storefront with no worries.

Hopetown is by far the most scenic settlement in the Bahamas. The harbour and its famous lighthouse, which must be toured, are stunningly beautiful. The quaint, vibrant-colored houses reflect simpler days. Motorized vehicles are restricted from the town, so the streets are quiet and a pleasure to walk. There are excellent restaurants, grocery stores, liquor stores, and interesting gift shops. The Wyannie Malone Historical Museum exhibits artifacts and stories of Hopetown's heritage.
